 brief History

the settle inn formely the red lion inn has been on this site since 1736, this  is reported to be one of scotlands most haunted inns ghostly activity have been reported up on the top floor of this inn ,and other spirts  visit the lower areas of the settle inn.

Spirit finders Scotland arrived at the settle inn at approx  11pm  we decided to begin our investigation on the upper floor which housed the accommodation belonging to the establishment owners   on arrival we used the kitchen area as our base for the night by this time is was 11.30 Michael spirit finders psychic could sense a small child spirit boy with blond hair his name was Mathew , Michael then picked up on another child spirit who was being protected by the blond haired spirit boy a small girl spirit that belonged to one of the residents in the accommodation above the settle inn ,we then moved on to the bathroom  Area  but could not pick up on anything in there Michael  indicated there were more activity in the flat we then decided to stop for a break time now was 12.35 after a short break we moved on to the living room of the accommodation taking digital images and video footage  we started by leaving  Emf meters on the dinning table and asking out for spirits to effect the meters by making the readings stronger after about 5 minuets the meters began giving higher readings by this time Michael could see a young girl names Amy  at the table and 2 more young child spirits with her Michael thinks it was her younger sister and brother standing beside Steve Michael   then asked the younger spirit to clime up onto Steve knee and doing so Steve began feeling very cold we then placed one of the meters close to the edge of the table near to Steve  we then called out to the spirit on Steve’s  knee to effect the meter it was not long before the meter began giving more high readings  I was now 1.45 we then stopped  for another break  we returned to the living room and began taking more digital images and evp  and video sessions we went back to the dining table this time more people sitting down  Steve  and Michael and Amy all sat down at the table Michael then asked out for the spirits to make the temperature drop he then asked one of the spirits to sit on Amy's knee  and make her go cold she then said she was freezing   she was feeling very cold the meter on the table next to her was going off at this point another spirit came into the room an adult spirit Michael then indicated this was the children’s father  Michael said the children were scared of their father and every time when they were in the physical body when they heard him coming up stairs they would run and hide and be terrified of him   when the spirits were around Steve  peter filmed him with his digital camera on video mode you see 2 images of light shaded shapes beside him we then took more pictures with more orbs being caught on camera it was now 2.30  we then placed a mirror against the wall and sat a chair in front of it  and some team members  to  turns  sitting in front of it asking out for spirits to show their self some team members said they could see the face of the team member sitting in front of the mirror face change shape after a short time it was 3am we decided to head down stairs to the bar area and began our vigil in the back seating area Michael said there was a vortex at the back wall but said the wall was blocking the space he said the area went further back than it looked we then started asking out for spirit contact  Michael said he could see soldiers lying on both sides of the room  if being used as sleeping quarters we began getting a strong smell of urine

and unkempt people  we began an evp session and got the name Robert Bruce after asking if it was Robert the Bruce the reply was Robert Bruce and on asking for spirits to effect the meters both the meters were going off on the asking we took some more pictures with more results Michael then picked up on French soldiers and began speaking in French to them  they began effecting the meters when asking them to david just got the words out his move to ask for them to effect the meter and the meter went off again we moved to the bar area and got some interesting photographs with some images in the mirror by this time it was 4.30 and decided to call it a day .we would like to thank the owners of the settle inn and hope to do some events there in the future .
